Undefeated UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is dreaming of a megafight against Cris 'Cyborg' Justino as the final exclamation mark in her storied mixed martial arts career.
Appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the 28-year-old Los Angeles-based Rousey (12-0) said that her MMA career seems "unfinished" and only a fight against Justino (14-1) would provide a sense of finality, reported ESPN.
"It seems unfinished -- my career," Rousey said. "There's more left to do. I don't feel like I'm done yet. With the Olympics, you win an Olympic gold medal and you're done. With the UFC, when am I done?"
Rousey, a former U.S. Olympic bronze medalist in judo, echoed the statement issued by UFC that Justino must drop to Rousey's weight class in order to make the fight a reality. "If she never steps up, I'll know," she said. "I'll probably go on a little longer waiting for her [to drop in weight], see if she shows up sooner rather than later. I don't know how much longer I'd go."
Rousey has expressed doubt Justino could make the 135-pound weight limit because she is using performance-enhancing drugs. In 2011, Justino tested positive for anabolic steroids in California that resulted to a one-year suspension.
"You see what happens when people get off steroids -- you see what they look like," Rousey said. "It's very easy for them to drop down. They immediately shrink up. It changes everything. It's all an insecurity thing. When you look at these people from when they were using and after, they look entirely different. Cyborg looks and weighs exactly the same. If she gets off, it will be very easy for her to make the weight."
UFC Moves Rousey's Fight Against Holm at Nov. 14 in Australia
Meanwhile, UFC president Dana White announced Friday that the bout between Rousey and former boxer Holly Holm will be moved to November 14th in Australia to try to beat attendance record, USA Today reported.
White posted on her Twitter account announcing that the Rousey vs Holm fight would be the main event at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne. "We'll break all-time attendance record for an MMA event," White said. The Etihad Stadium seats 90,000.
White added that the fight between Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit would replace the Rousey vs Home at UFC 195 in January.
White spoke with SportsCenter and said, "Ronda Rousey was huge for us down in Brazil, she was well received there. It did very well on pay-per-view here in the United States, and she's obviously a huge superstar for us. Australia is an important market for us, so we're going to bring her out there in our first real big stadium show, and we know she'll break the record."
