The usually reclusive Rob Kardashian, the 28-year-old brother of the more famous Kardashian sisters of the reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, recently shared his picture on Instagram showing a slimmer and sexier body.
Rob, who has struggled with his weight and depression, has captioned the black-and-white picture "Gnight." Unlike his sister who are often photographed and who have not shied posting their picture on social media, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, even their nude pictures, Rob rarely posts his pictures much less photographed in public.
So this latest late-night selfie is a big deal and it also shows he is gaining some grounds with his effort to lose some extra weight.
According to the LA Times, Rob needs to shed at least 100 pounds that probably explained why he was not seen in public in several months. He has also been struggling with his self-esteem because of the extra pounds he had gained over the last two years.
Late last week, E! News reported that Rob Kardashian is on a mission to lose some weight and cited a source which claims that "for the first time in a long time Rob is committed to changing his diet habits." It added that Rob is working with a chef to also control his diet.
The report says, "His regimen involves more than just cardio and weights," and added he hired Gunnar Peterson as his personal trainer.
Also last week, he shared a photo on Instagram showing him doing some morning walk with Kylie Jenner and her boyfriend Tyga. "Spotted these fools on the morning workout," he wrote. In the picture, Kylie was wearing a sports bra paired with yoga pants and sneakers.
According to E! News, Rob's mother Kris Jenner, has earlier expressed concerns for her son. She commented in an earlier interview, "Rob is living in L.A. right now and he's doing well, finding out what makes him tick and struggling with some stuff. My job is to be there for him and to love him as hard as I can. Everybody goes through stuff."
Rob's struggles and depression have been a concern for the Kardashian family. In a separate interview, Khloé Kardashian said she understands Rob's situation and she loves the fact that he is staying with her at her Calabasas home, and she said that she "wouldn't have it any other way."
The 31-year-old Khloé said, "Rob definitely has his ups and downs, and he's been struggling for the past year and a half, maybe two years, which I think we've all had those times in our life. I love having him with me. He's going through a hard time now and it's behind gates. With this crazy lifestyle you have to think of places where you can still have your freedom.
She continued, "Right now I'm really proud of him. He's been working out a little and trying to get his groove back. And he acknowledges it! He's aware that he's very introverted and of course not the way he used to be. I think being aware is probably the best thing."
