Clash of Clans Summer 2015 Updates were finally released on July 1, which brought a number of upgrades. These included level 5 dragons and more balanced gameplay mechanics. However, there are still a number of rumored features that were never made it beyond the final stage of development.
Will There Be Town Hall 11 in the Future?
One rumored feature was the level 11 upgrade for Town Halls. This never came with the Clash of Clans Summer 2015 Update. Instead, players with Town Hall 10 have been left with nothing better to do than to loot other bases and build more walls., this may start to become repetitive for some players.
GottaBeMobile predicts that this feature may be included in either Christmas 2015 or early 2016.
What Was Introduced in Summer 2015 Update
When Supercell launched the Summer 2015 update, many goodies were added to the mobile game.
This included the level 5 dragon, which is available with Town Hall Level 10 players. The level five dragon costs 8 million elixir, and requires an updated Laboratory. Happily though, the cost of the level four dragon has been reduced to 6 million elixir without the need for an updated Laboratory.
For gameplay balance, lightning spells can no longer be used to destroy elixir storage to steal loot. The spell can still be used to kill enemy troops and resource collectors. Previously, the Lightning Spell gave players the ability to kill troops and destroy storage areas to seize loot. It was virtually impossible to counter this move, making it one of the more popular features of the game. After the Summer 2015 Update, the spell is starting lose some of its potency.
In the meantime, all spells now require less training time. For instance the Lightning and Healing spells now take only 20 minutes instead of the previous 30. Rage, Freeze and Jump spells now take 30 minutes instead of 45.
Regarding troops, lower ranking players can now unlock dragons. This serves as an excellent counter to more senior players who already have stronger bases. Training costs for Barbarians, Archers, Dragons and P.E.K.K.A have been adjust for some levels. The recent update also increases several building hitpoint values.
Clash of Clans Has First Ever Convention
Supercell recently announced its first ever convention that will bring together the worldwide Clash of Clans community. The Clash Con event will be held in Helsinki, Finland on October 24. Meanwhile, ticket sales will begin on July 24.
For now, details are scarce. However, more information may be revealed in the months leading to Clash Con.
