Where Will Season 3 Pick Off
Naturally, Season 3's first episode will start after events in the previous season finale. Many crazy things happened. Raina was killed, and Director Coulson lost his hand after the epic battle with the Inhumans.
In a bittersweet moment, Cal is reprogrammed by the TAHITI program to becoming a better person. However, he loses all memory of his daughter Daisy. Sadly, Jemma is abducted by the Kree Stone just as she starts to reconcile with Fitz. As of now, her fate remains unknown.
Based on information from an IGN interview, Daisy Johnson (a.k.a. Skye) will form a new team of super-powered Secret Warriors. With the Inhumans aligned with SHIELD, Agent Coulson may be free to embark on a worldwide search for other special humans.
The duplicitous Ward will assume leadership of HYDRA, after running around as renegade operative in the previous season. Ward is still reeling from the death of his lover and partner Agent 33, whom he accidentally shoots and kills. The rogue agent blames SHIELD for his loss, and is using HYDRA as a vehicle for revenge.
As confirmed by Marvel, elements from Marvel's Secret Warriors comics will be introduced in the Third Season. It is not clear which new characters will join this team. However, it is still safe to assume that most of the main cast will return for the next season.
Peggy Carter Returns for Season 2
Old-school SHIELD agent, Peggy Carter, is returning for Season 2. This time the heroine is headed to post-WWII Los Angeles, where she will do battle with yet another set of classic villains. Marvel confirms that actress Hayley Atwell is reprising her role as Agent Carter.
Agent Carter Season 2 is scheduled to debut during the midseason break for Agents of Shield Season 3.
