A&E's beloved series, "Duck Dynasty," will return for its eighth season on June 24, and will focus mainly on John Luke Robertson and Mary Kate McEacharn's engagement and preparations for their June 27 wedding.
During last season's "Duck Dynasty" finale, titled "Sweet Home Louisiana," viewers watched as Jep Robertson struggled with various health problems and endured a hospital stay after experiencing a seizure during a hunting trip.
Season seven also gave fans an inside look at some of Jep's personal struggles. Venture Capital Post reveals that the upcoming season will likely delve into new developments of Jep and his wife Jessica's relationship following the release of the book the pair authored entitled, "The Good, the Bad, and the Grace of God: What Honesty and Pain Taught Us About Faith, Family, and Forgiveness."

Meanwhile, a report by Zap2it indicated that the new season will revolve the engagement and pending nuptials of Willie and Korie's son, John Luke, and Mary Kate McEacharn. The young couple got engaged on October 11 of last year--John Luke's 19th birthday--and will marry on June 27 in L.A., as previously reported by the Gospel Herald.
During the "Duck Dynasty" season premiere, the network has revealed that "the family throws a fun-spirited engagement party for John Luke, Mary Kate and her parents in order to bring the two families together. Before the party, Willie and the guys take John Luke golfing in an attempt to impart their inimitable marital advice."
The pair met at summer camp four years ago and John Luke spent well over a year pursuing the young lady before "finding chemistry in Chemistry class," he has revealed on his "Young and Beardless" blog.
"Some people say we are too young. I have heard all the stories and all the advice," he wrote.
"I have come to the conclusion that a lasting marriage does not depend on when you get married. A lasting marriage depends on how forgiving you are and how much you love God Almighty. Those are the things that hold people together."
The series may also show the veterans' association honoring Uncle Si by giving him an exhibit at a local military museum. After serving in the Vietnam War for several years, Si retired from the Army in 1993 with the rank of Sergeant First Class, according to his bio page.
