"19 Kids and Counting" star Jill Dillard recently shared a sweet photo of 2-month-old son Israel David snuggled up with his father, Derick Dillard, who is reading him a Bible story.
"#bibletime with papa," the 24-year-old Duggar daughter captioned the Instagram picture, which showed little Israel dressed in a blue and white onesie sitting on his father's lap.
A short time earlier, Derick also shared a picture of his son on Instagram to commemorate the baby's 2 month birthday.
"We are so blessed to be this little guy's parents! Happy 2 month birthday Israel! May you continue to grow both in stature and in favor with the Lord and also with man," the proud father captioned the photo.
Last month, Derick also penned a sweet letter to his son, who was born on Apr. 6 via C-section after a grueling 70-hour labor. In the letter, he expressed prayerful thoughts regarding his son and emphasized that he will "always love" the little boy.
Citing the Bible verse Isaiah 44:21-28, the new dad wrote on his blog, "I read these verses in my time with the Lord this morning, and I wanted to pen them specifically for you. Just as the Lord spoke of the nation of Israel, I pray He would accomplish in you. I pray that you, Israel, whom I already love more than anybody, except mom of course J, would turn to the Lord early in your life and glorify Him with all that is within you."
He concluded, "I pray that you will continue to grow, in stature, in knowledge, and in wisdom, true wisdom, that is from the Lord," Dillard concluded. "And know that I love you son and I always will, no matter what. I will say it again... I love you Israel! -Your daddy."
Jill and Derick are among the first in the Duggar family to break their social media silence in the weeks following news that Josh had molested five girls as a young teen, including four of his sisters. However, Jill's younger sister, Jessa, has also shared three photos in the past week via Instagram - two sonogram pictures of her unborn baby and one 20 week bump snap.
Earlier this month, the sisters spoke out about the situation with Fox News' Megyn Kelly, and voiced their support for Josh, despite calling his actions "very wrong."
"I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist, some people are saying," Jessa told Kelly during the conversation. "I'm like, 'That is so overboard and a lie really.' I mean people get mad at me for saying that, but I can say this because I was one of the victims."
Jill also accused the media of "warping" the story, which first made headlines after a police report from 2006 leaked online accusing Josh of "forcible fondling."
"We felt like our story was not being told and we felt like it shouldn't have been told," the new mother told Kelly. "So now that it's already been warped and told however they want to portray [it], that's why Jessa and I wanted to come out and just say that's not what happened. We've dealt with this, we've taken care of it."
TLC has yet to comment on the future of "19 Kids and Counting," but the network has pulled the series from its summer line-up.
