A four-minute video purportedly referring to the new Motorola Moto X 3rd Generation smarphone surfacedw recently showcasing the phones supposed specification.
In the YouTube video, the still-to-be launched Motorola Moto X 3rd Generation was seen sporting a Bamboo back with a new metal place connecting the rear camera. The back panel also shows a dual-LED flash below with the Motorola logo in the middle. A series of sensors on both sides of the speaker could be seen on the video when it showed the front panel of the alleged new version.
The leaked video also hinted of more specifications of the Motorola Moto X 3rd Generation with the smartphone featuring a 5.64-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) resolution. The new handset will run on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop handset powered by a Snapdragon processor. The alleged new version will have a 3GB RAM and 21GB of inbuilt memory storage capacity. The Motorola Moto X 3rd Generation will also have USB Type-C support and stereo speakers.
Other versions of the new Motorola Moto X 3rd Generation have plastic, wood, and leather casings.
The leaked video came four weeks after Popular Indian online retailer, FlipKart, accidentally listed the specifications for the much-anticipated Moto G and Moto X 3rd Generation. FlipKart quickly removed the details but not before Gadgetraid was able to take note of the snafu.
According to the leaked information, the new Moto G 2015 or third generation, comes in white version and packs 8GB of storage, and a micro SD slot for additional memory capacity. A report by Yibada also stated that the Moto G 2015 would sport a 5 inch or 5.2 inch monitor with a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 SoC supported by 2 GB of RAM and 4G LTE capability.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Lenovo chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing said the company would launch some "exciting new products" this summer, hinting that a Moto G release next month is possible.
He said in the interview, "We have many new models in development with the Moto brands. So you may see in summer us launching some very exciting products, including phones and watches."
Lenovo acquired Motorola Mobility division from Google in September 2014 and experts believe Yuanqing's statement is an indication the Moto G will be released sooner than earlier expected.
While Motorola has yet to confirm the exact date of the release of the budget-friendly handsets, rumors are spreading that the Moto G and the Moto X 2015 will be released anytime soon, actually between the second and third quarter this year. And with the second quarter of 2015 only one month before it expires and as we await the upcoming third quarter, it will only be just a matter of days before loyal mobile users get a hand of Moto G and the Moto X 2015.
Earlier, we have reported that Motorola's president, Rick Osterloh posted on his Twitter account that provided hints as to the official release of the Moto G and the Moto X 2015. Osterloh explained that Motorolo is following a cycle when releasing new products. The company released the Moto X between August and September 2015, fueling speculations that the 3rd Generation Moto x 2015 will also be released around those months this year.
