Carrie Underwood is marking her 10th year in the music industry with a performance at the upcoming CMA Music Festival.
Underwood announced recently on social media that she will be taking the stage at the annual country music awards at LP Field on June 13, Rolling Stone magazine reported. She joins a star-studded lineup in the four-day celebration of everything about country music.
The "Something in the Water" singer revealed her appearance through a post on her Instagram account.
"Hey #CMAfest! Look like I will be seeing you real soon!" Underwood wrote on a photo of herself wearing sunglasses labelled with the words "I Heart CMA Fest."
The upcoming performance caps her first public appearance since giving birth in February to her first child named Isaiah Michael with husband Mike Fisher. She has since taken some off to take care of her baby.
It has been a decade since Underwood first performed at the CMA Fest. In 2005, she capitalized on her victory at the reality star search American Idol to gain a slot at country music's four-day music festival.
Among her memorable performances at LP Field include a gutsy rendition of Guns n' Roses' "Paradise City" that closed out the 2013 festival. Fans got a big surprise last year when she had a cameo during Miranda Lambert's set, where she recreated their top-charting duet "Somethin' Bad."
Other performers in the four-day CMA Fest in Music City include Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, the Band Perry, Eric Church, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, and many other acts.
Prior to the June 13 event, Underwood is scheduled to be among the performers at the CMT Music Awards on June 10, where she will sing her current Top 10 hit "Little Toy Guns." She also romped away with five nominations at the CMT Awards, the most among nominees.
Underwood got two nods in the Video of the Year category for "Something in the Water" and "Somethin' Bad." She gained another two in the Female Video category for "Little Toy Guns" and "Something in the Water," and one more in the Collaborative Video category for "Somethin' Bad."
Last year, she took home the Video of the Year award for "See You Again."
The 2015 CMT Music Awards show will air live 8 p.m. ET/PT. Fans will have complete control on who wins because of votes. Voting at CMT.com has begun and will end on June 8 at 10 a.m. ET.
