Stephen Curry lifted his team and was instrumental for ending the Golden State Warriors' 40-year NBA Finals drought, but her pretty mom, pregnant wife and cute daughter are stealing the spotlight.
Sure, Stephen Curry is having a breakout season in the NBA 2014-2015 having been named the MVP and has set a record three point shots in a single season (272 three points in 2012-2013). He scored 26 points to eliminate the Houston Rocket, 104-90, in the NBA Western Conference Playoffs Finals in Game 5.
But the women in Stephen Curry's life are having their share of fame too.
Ayesha Curry
Stephen Curry met Ayesha Alexander in North Carolina when they were still teenagers. The family of the model and actress Ayesha attends the same church that the Curry family attends. Stephen and Ayesha got engaged in 2009 while Curry was attending Davidson College. The two married in 2011.
It is easy to understand that Ayesha has her own fan base being a model. She also maintains her own blog documenting the lives of her famous husband and daughter Riley, according to the Sun Times.
Ayesha was also featured on TV several times as she happily cheer for her husband, Stephen, as he makes his move on the court. On Monday, the basketball world felt Ayesha's agony seeing her husband suffered a frightening fall in Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Playoffs Finals. The horrifying fall occurred in the second period when Curry jumped in the air as Houston's Trevor Ariza was about to shoot a layup midway.
Sonya Curry
Stephen's mother Sonya is making Twitter abuzz with her loyal cheering for her son as well as her age-defying good looks. Some of the Twitter posts on Sonya during the Golden Warriors games against the Houston Rockets are:
Matt Dempsey @MattDemps20 "Dell Curry is a god in my eyes for landing Sonya Curry. #Wow"
JT. @JRTabula wrote, "Finally watching the game and one of the first things I see? Sonya Curry"
And sexysportsfan @sexysportsfan, commented, "@primetime2832: Sonya Curry is 48. I need to check that birth certificate."
Riley Curry
The cutest and most adorable of the Curry's women is two-year-old Riley, whom he introduced and even joined him in the post-game press conference as he answered questions from sports writers.
Riley returned to the podium Wednesday after the Golden State Warriors' took the Western Conference Playoff Finals, 4-1, and eliminated the Houston Rockets, and sent the team to the NBA Finals after 40 years in absence, EOnline reported.
Riley sang the Drake hook from Big Sean's "Blessings." She took the microphone and blurted, "I feel blessed." Drawing smiles and laughter from proud dad, Stephen, and reporters.
Another Curry family member is soon expected to steal the bright lights from Stephen as his wife, Ayesha, is pregnant and is expecting their second child in July.
