Five weeks ago, "19 Kids and Counting" star Jill Duggar Dillard welcomed baby Israel David into the world after a dramatic, 70-hour labor and emergency c-section.
Today, Jill and her husband, Derick, are loving every moment of parenthood, and enjoy sharing photos of their newborn on social media.
On Wednesday, the 23 year old mother posted a photo of herself holding her sleeping son. "I'm lovin' being a mom! #soblessed" she captioned the photo. A few hours later, Jill posted a photo of herself holding baby Israel in the same way she used to show off her baby bump during her pregnancy.
Derick, 26, also posted the photo to his Instagram page along with the caption, "Don't worry, we won't be doing these weekly photos until he's 18."
Earlier this week, the new mama also posted a photo of baby Israel wearing a lion onesie. "Happy first month birthday to our handsome big guy!" she gushed. "@derickdillard I hope and pray he grows up to be just like his daddy!"
This past weekend, Jill celebrated her very first Mother's Day. She was joined by her mom Michelle Duggar and her mother-in-law, Cathy Dillard, for the special occasion. To celebrate, the new parents posted photos of the proud grandmas with little Israel.
"It is so crazy that last Mother's Day, I wasn't even married, and now I'm a mom. It is still surreal to me that I'm a mother," she told People Magazine.
Jill added, "I am so blessed to be a mother. There are a lot of ladies who would love to be and can't. My heroes are my mom, my grandmother, Derick's mom and those people who have been mothers for a while. I just pray I can be like them."
Derick also honored his wife on Mother's Day by posting a sweet photo of Jill and baby Israel along with the caption, "Happy 1st Mother's Day Jill! I love you more than you know! You're already such a great mom to our son, Israel. He's got the best momma because you exemplify the Proverbs 31 woman. We are blessed.#MothersDay2015
Meanwhile, the couple are excited to raise their son to love Jesus Christ and follow His example, as their pastor challenged them to do at Israel's dedication.
Jill shared the photo of the special moment on her Instagram account and captioned it, "At Israel's dedication this morning we were challenged to raise him to love Jesus. What a special Mother's Day!"
She shared the Bible verse 3 John 1:14 that says: "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."
The two-hour finale of 19 Kids and Counting airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
