As the wedding date for 'Duck Dynasty' stars John Luke Robertson and Mary Kate McEacharn draws closer, the young couple is busy preparing for their future life together.
On October 11 of last year, John Luke celebrated his 19th birthday by proposing to then-18-year-old McEacharn: "I looked up to find him on one knee, holding the ring out, and he said 'Mary Kate McEacharn, will you marry me?'" the-soon-to-be wife wrote of the surprise proposal on her fiance's 'Young and Beardless' blog.
Almost seven months later, the young couple is busy preparing for their wedding, which will be held in June 27. As part of the wedding festivities, McEacharn has attended several showers in her honor, which she has closely documented on her blog.

The first wedding shower, held on April 26, was hosted by John Luke's mother, Korie Robertson, and McEacharn's mother.
"This was my very first wedding shower and I was super excited about it. I've been to a lot of showers in my life but I've never actually been the one being showered, so i wasn't really sure what to expect. but I can tell you it exceeded anything I could have imagined!" Mceacharn wrote on her blog, "The Little Duck Wife". "The hostesses did an amazing job with the decorating. But honestly, the house was so pretty that it really didn't even need anything to make it look nice! so the beauty of the house plus the beauty of the flowers and decor added up to the prettiest shower I've ever been to," she added.
Among the many attendees were John-Luke's sisters, Sadie and Rebecca Robertson, and Korie's mother, Chrys Howard. Shower gifts included some adorable Anthropologie bowls, bakeware, a throw, silverware, and other kitchen utensils.
"I opened so many lovely gifts and was just astonished at the constant flow," McEacharn continued. "This shower made everything seem so real!"
McEacharn's second wedding shower was held in West Monroe, Louisiana and consisted "primarily of John Luke's family and church family," including Miss Kay Robertson and soon-to-be-sister-in-law, Bella Robertson.
"Just trying to soak in every moment and enjoy this special time and these special people God has put in my life," McEacharn wrote. "John Luke and I are so loved by so many and I am very grateful for everyone's support and kindness. We have such caring friends and family. Thank you."
Meanwhile, John Luke, who recently celebrated his graduation from Ouachita Christian School, has explained that his connection with McEacharn is rooted in their mutual faith in Jesus Christ.
"She never gave me the time of day until I started talking about Jesus," Willie and Korie's son told USA Today. "That was the only thing we could ever talk about. And I knew then that she was a good one, because she would help me grow in my faith ... And she was pretty good looking!"
McEaharn has also said that she has always "prayed God would bring a Christian boy into my life."
"He's an awesome man of God," said the young woman, "I figured God had placed him there. He's really funny, you never know what's going to happen with him. He's full of surprises. Plus he's pretty cute."
The young couple has emphasized that it doesn't bother them when the media criticizes them for getting married too young.
"I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what 'could be' to me. Fast forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us," he explained.
