Social media users across the nation are praying for Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston, as she continues to fight for her life.
Using the hashtag #PrayForBobbiKristina, many on Twitter extended prayers and encouragement for the 21 year old, who remains in a medically-induced coma at Emory University Hospital after her partner, Nick Gordon, found her unresponsive in a bathtub over the weekend.
"I'm praying for Bobbi Kristina Brown, let people see your miracles Lord through her, let them see you..#PrayForBobbiKristina!" Twitter user Zinhle Thola Dladla wrote.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.Psalm 147:3" #PrayForBobbiKristina" added another user.
Tens of groups have also been created on Facebook with names such as "Pray for Bobbi Kristina Brown & Famiy" and "We Support Bobbi Kristina," where photos of the young woman with family and friends were shared.
"There is nothing too hard for God to do! Prayers going out in Christ Jesus name!" wrote Gloria Oni, one of hundreds of supporters who joined the Facebook group.
"I'm praying for you and your family...that God gets you through this just like he did for me. I was in a coma myself [and] I'm still alive thanks to God and my strong Christian family. You have a purpose, and I believe that God will bring you back. Trust in God and he can work miracles to you like he did for me. God Bless you and your family," wrote Catherine Raboude.
Almost three years ago, Brown's mother, world-renowned singer Whitney Houston, was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel near Los Angeles, hours before she was to attend a pre-Grammy Awards party.
A coroner ruled her February 11, 2012, death an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors.
However, while the circumstances surrounding Brown are eerily similar to her mother's, police and medical examiners remain unsure of what the 21 year old's unresponsiveness, as investigators found nothing to indicate it was drug- or alcohol-related.
"We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina," Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC told Us Weekly.
According to Hollywood Life, Bobbi Kristina was never able to come to terms with the tragic death of her mother, and had considered getting treatment for her alleged struggle with depression.
On Sunday, R&B singer Bobby Brown released a statement about his daughter's condition.
"Privacy is requested in this matter," said the 45-year old in the statement. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."
The Houston family also released a statement and thanked Bobbi Kristin'a supporters for their prayers.
"Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time."
