Update: The DWTS 2014 Mirror Ball Trophy Winner is Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson!
Runners-Up: Sadie Robertson and her partner Mark Ballas
Third Place: Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy
Original Story: It's been a smashing season for Dancing With The Stars, and it has all led up to the finale to air on Monday, November 24th with another final segment on Tuesday, November 25th on ABC. The semifinals have already ended, with the couple of Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd being sent home. The only ones left now are Bethany Mota and Derek Hough, Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson, as well as Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas.
According to the International Business Times, the final episode of season 19 should be an interesting engagement. Part 1 of the Finale will be a two-hour segment. The Monday show will be the four couples performing two routines, with the first round being a reprise round where the couple will perform a previously presented dance as picked by the four judges (Bruno Tonioli, Julianne Hough, Len Goodman and Carrie Ann Inaba). As for the second round, these four couples will be doing Freestyle routines that will feature "special effects, additional dancers, and unexpected surprises".
One of the surprises that should be expected is that the segment will feature a special performance of the cast of Annie, which is another movie adaptation of the popular musical, to be released December 19th. Annie's star, Quvenzhane Wallis, will perform "It's the Hard Knock Life" with all the contestants and a routine choreographed by Mandy Moore.
Once Monday's Part 1 episode ends, there will be eliminations and one couple will be sent home.
As for the Grand Finale on Tuesday, it will dominate ABC's schedule for three hours. The first hour will be a special entitled "Dancing with the Stars: Road to the Finals", which will be a recap of the 11-weeks leading up to the finale. Then the finale will begin, with a special performance by all thirteen couples, as well as the judges and hosts.
After that, the competition really begins as each of the couples have to deliver one encore performance each. After this is a tradition on Dancing with the Stars with a "24-hour Dance Challenge". This is when the final three couples are given only a full day to create a routine with two dance styles.
All this leads up to the results based on public votes from Monday night and the judges' scores during the "24 Dance Challenge". There will also be an encore performance of one of the finalists based on Twitter votes.
Like Monday, Tuesday will also feature a lot of "unexpected surprises", but there will be some vocal performances. One of them will be Meghan Trainor, performing "Lips are Moving" and the ever-so-popular "All About that Bass". Nick Jonas will also be on hand to sing "Jealous", and there will also be a performance of "Go All Night" by Jennifer Hudson and Gorgon City.
Now it is time for speculation as far as the winner is concerned. The big winner prediction is Alfonso Riveiro, as this actor began his television career on Silver Spoons, where he was constantly dancing. Sure, he was also famous for inventing the Carlton on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but he certainly has the most dancing chops of them all.
ABC will broadcast Part 1 of the finale of Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars from 8-10 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014. Part 2 will air on 8-11 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.
