After a bit of a wait that took longer than some expected, Android's 5.0 Lollipop OS update is finally here for the Nexus 4, 5, 7, and 10.

It was a well-known fact that Google's own Nexus devices would be getting the tech giant's own operating system update before other devices, but Motorola surprised everyone last week when it announced that its Moto X and Moto G phones were also getting Android Lollipop at the same time. What concerned some Nexus fans, though, was the fact that not all Nexus devices received the update at that time, and the new Nexus 6 was still not shipping.

But right now, all Nexus devices are able to update to Android 5.0 Lollipop except for the cell version of the 2013 Nexus 7. Curious about the update on your own Nexus device? Check out the list below.

Nexus 4

The 2012 smartphone was updated this past weekend with the image files for Lollipop, which essentially means that you can manually update to Lollipop by downloading the image files. The over-the-air (automatic) update, however, should become available in the next week or two, according to insiders.

The Nexus 4 was originally accidentally ommitted from promotional pieces for Android Lollipop, but Android Engineering Program Manager Sascha Pruter quickly addressed the error. "I know there is a meme for this somewhere but... be assured the missing 'Nexus 4' in the Lollipop update notice is just a mistake, we are fixing it now," Pruter said on Google+. "Now please put down your pitchforks again and let's have some candy!"

Nexus 5

The 2013 Nexus 5 smartphone was given the Lollipop image files for developers back in June during Google's I/O conference, but it wasn't until November 12 that the release version was made available.

Unfortunately, the Nexus 5 seems to be experiencing the most bugs with the update to Lollipop concerning wi-fi connectivity issues, excessive battery drain, and more.

Nexus 6

The latest flagship smartphone from Google started taking pre-orders on October 29, 2014 as the successor to the Nexus 5. It will be the first Nexus phone to come standard with Lollipop installed. While shipments have been delayed due to an overwhelming demand on pre-order day that broke the internet, the device is reported to be arriving to customers starting today.

Nexus 7

Both the first (2012) and second (2013) generations of this popular 7-inch tablet have received the image file for Lollipop, although just for the wi-fi versions. The Asus products can update manually by visiting "About Tablet" and clicking "System Updates" from within the device.

Nexus 9

This brand new tablet is Google's latest and greatest tablet device to launch with Lollipop standard on November 3 of this year. So if you have a Nexus 9, you're already all set!

Nexus 10

This 2012 tablet computer has been upgradeable to Lollipop since November 3. The 10-inch device is the largest of the Nexus products and has so far enjoyed reportedly fewer bugs with the update than other Nexus devices.

If you have yet to receive the over-the-air update for your Nexus device, Google has posted a helpful guide to installing and using the downloadable Lollipop factory image files.
