Black Friday Deals 2014 on Laptops, Tablets, and TVs (Walmart, Target, Best Buy)

The upcoming sales events of Black Friday and Cyber Week will see significant discounts this year, but the focus will most certainly be on televisions, tablets, and laptops.

So we took a look at the major retailers to see what types of deals we can expect on these items during the event.

Televisions

The last few years have seen impressive sales on high definition televisions, and this year is no exception. Target is offering Doorbuster sales on brands like Vizio, Samsung, and Westinghouse, while competitor Best Buy focuses on Panasonic, LG, and Insignia. Target's best deal seems to be its 29-inch Element LED HDTV that's going for $79 -- a savings of $101.

But Best Buy is ready to blow everyone away with its 50-inch Panasonic LED HDTV for only $200. On top of that, the retailer has a 55-inch Samsung Smart TV for only $900. This is the first time an Ultra High Definition TV (2160p 4K) of this size has been offered so low.

Walmart's Black Friday ad isn't officially out yet, but the company's pre-event ad features a 50-inch LED HDTV by Sceptre going for only $349.

Tablets

As smartphones get bigger, tablets are offering more size choices than ever to fit consumers' needs. Apple, Microsoft, and the various Android manufacturers are all popular choices this year.

Target is offering a free gift card with the purchase of any new iPad Air or iPad Mini, including a $140 gift card with the purchase of the brand new iPad Air 2, or an $80 gift card with the purchase of the iPad mini. Best Buy is offering $100 off all iPad Air 2 models right off the bat, and the company is teasing even deeper discounts on the iPad Air to be revealed on November 20.

If you're looking for the cheapest deal and are willing to step away from Apple for your tablet, you can find a 7-inch DigiLand tablet for $40 at Best Buy and a 7-inch RCA tablet at Target for the same price.

Laptops

The line between laptops and tablets is blurring these days, but many still prefer the non-mobile operating systems and physical device drives of the laptop.

Best Buy's big laptop deal this year is the Dell Inspiron 15.6-inch Touch-Screen laptop for only $300, while Target's laptop deals are oddly absent from this year's ad. If you're looking for a deal on an Apple laptop, Best Buy is ready with a $900 price tag on both the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the 21-inch iMac.

Walmart's best-seller in the pre-sale event so far is the same Dell Inspiron that Target is offering, but for $380.
