Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 continues this week with the new episode, Writing on the Wall. This upcoming seventh episode features a manhunt for the newly-escaped Grant Ward (Brett Dalton).
ABC network recently released a short clip from the upcoming episode showing Agent Antoine Triplett (B.J. Britt) shadowing Ward at the bus terminal in Philadelphia. Triplett tells his handler Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) that he is in a good position to put a bullet into Ward. Instead, May orders Triplett to stand down and await further orders.
Afterwards, Ward walks up to a paid locker and takes out a black duffel bag. The bag is stuffed with all the essentials including fake passports, cash, and a prepaid cellular phone. Meanwhile, S.H.I.E.L.D. director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) orders the agents to take Ward into custody.
"The Senator wants him alive," Coulson reminds his people. "What do you want," May asks Coulson in return.
"Bring him [Grant] in by any means necessary," Coulson coolly replies without answering May's question.
In the previous sixth episode, Coulson turns Ward over to Senator Christian Ward - who happens to be Grant's older brother. In exchange, Christian agrees to go after HYDRA instead of S.H.I.E.L.D. The conniving senator also plans to put his own brother put on trial in order to bolster public approval ratings. Grant promptly escapes after being transferred to FBI custody.
