Jim Harbaugh, coming off a win to against the Eagles over the weekend has to be feeling better about his time in San Francisco, but expect the rumor mill to continue to churn up rumors and speculation about his future.
The latest speculation has him heading to the college ranks, or joining the Miami Dolphins.
Currently the Michigan Wolverines are 2-3 and coming off a big loss to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Brady Hoke's job has long been in jeopardy and many believe that Harbaugh would leave the seemingly big let down occuring in San Francisco to go help resurrect the once dominant Wolverines. Harbaugh quarterbacked the Wolverines under Bo Schembechler from 1983-86, and he is a 'Michigan Man' among Michigan men. Rumors from NFL.com, have Harbaugh struggling to keep his locker room focused on his game plan. According to multiple reports, some of the team's players question Harbaugh's commitment to the overall well being of the team, and are concerned that losing some games might bring about division among the 49ers.
Apparently, some of the players are upset because Harbaugh leads the 49ers across country to practice against his brother John's Baltimore Ravens in the offseason.
John Harbaugh has also been linked to the Michigan job. He too is a Michigan supporter, and has experience working with Hoke at Western Michigan. Right now the Ravens are 3-1 and looking really good considering the early season controversy they endured.
Many believe John would be a good fit in Michigan, but would he take the job after Hoke, having his Ravens in the position they are in currently?
If the brothers continue to find success in the NFL, they will probably stay put, but if one of their squads start to falter, and the Wolverines continue to lose, expect a change on at least one Harbaugh's resume real soon.
