Here is lineup of the top updates that are making the rounds. As a word of warning, there will be spoilers ahead.
More 'Recruits' Joining the Suicide Squad
In the original DC comics, the Suicide Squad is a team of criminals forcibly recruited as operatives working for the A.R.G.U.S. government agency. Seen as expendable, the group participates in suicidal missions - hence, their name.
The Suicide Squad's first appearance on Arrow occurred in the sixteenth episode of Season 2. According to the latest the spoiler from Entertainment Weekly, A.R.G.U.S. is adding "some new faces" to the squad. There is no official word from The CW regarding what characters will be added to the roster.
Past members of Arrow's Suicide Squad included Deathshot (Michael Rowe), Bronze Tiger (Ben Turner), Shrapnel (Mark Scheffer). Season 3 will definitely not see the return of Shrapnel, who was killed when he deserted the Suicide Squad during a mission.
It has been speculated amongst Arrow fans that Harley Quinn is coming to Season 3. In the episode "Suicide Squad", a mysterious woman fitting Quinn's description is incarcerated in an A.R.G.U.S. holding cell.
Ra's Al Ghul Actor Rumored
Just a few days ago, The Wrap claimed that Matt Nable will play the villain Ra's Al Ghul. The character may appear in Episode 4 of Season 3. This information reportedly came from a source close to the Arrow production.
Ra's was first confirmed in the Arrow teaser trailer at the San Diego Comic Con. However, he only appeared in silhouette. According to DC Comics lore, the character is the immortal leader of League of Shadows.
The iconic villain failed to appear in previous seasons, though his presence was teased. Instead, Ra's lesser known daughter Nyssa (Katrina Law) made occasional appearances in Starling City. It is not clear if both Ra's and Nyssa will be showing up at the same time. Arrow showrunners have confirmed that Ra's will be the main villain in Season 3.
Arrow Season 3 is coming to The CW network on Wednesday, October 8 at 8/7c.
