Floyd Mayweather Jr (46-0, 26 KOs) will again fight challenger Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31 KOs) on Showtime pay-per-view from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The rematch is scheduled for September 13th. The fight will also be shown in select movie theaters across America.

Mayweather said he expects this fight to be "legendary", and filled with back and forth excitement from start to finish. He expects this fight to be as entertaining as their first bout.

Mayweather defeated Maidana in a 12 round decision last May.  The fight was one of Mayweather's closer ones, as Maidana appeared to win the first 3 rounds, and continued to give the champ problems.  In the middle rounds, Mayweather appeared to figure Maidana out a bit and adapted to come through and win.  Adapting to your opponent is the mark of a champion, and so far Mayweather has been able to do that.

Other fighter like Amir Khan of England, or Manny Pacquiao would also like a shot at Mayweather before he finishes his career.  He has said he plans to quit boxing in 2015, and both Khan and Pacquiao are concerned that Mayweather will not give them a match on fear of losing his perfect record. Many fans would also like to see Mayweather and Khan fight, and a Mayweather Pacquiao fight would probably break pay per-view and purse records.

Khan has already beaten Maidana back in 2010, and he told the Guardian recently that he was surprised the Argentine was able to give Mayweather as much trouble as he did in their previous fight.

"I was shocked," Khan said. "I'd expected Mayweather to win easily but styles make fights. Maidana put so much pressure on him that Floyd didn't have room to throw his punches."

Pacquiao has announced he plans to retire in 2016, and many are hoping He and Mayweather will match up before that time.

According to the Daily Mail, a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather is getting more traction with the purse for the two fighters to be around $150 million each.
