'Revenge' Season 4's release date has just been announced, while the cast and crew shared insights over social media.
Last week, the show's cast and crew sat down for their first table read, and later tweeted their experiences for posterity.
"Excited to see my Revenge fam tomorrow! Season 4. Bring it," Emily VanCamp tweeted on July 10.
VanCamp stars in the series as protagonist Emily Thorne, who seeks revenge on behalf of her dead father David. Thorne is actually Amanda Clarke, but hides her real identity to get close to the Graysons -- the family who wronged David.
The very same day, 'Revenge' producer Sallie Patrick unveiled the first episode title "Rennaissance" also over Twitter.
"It's happening... #revenge #season4 #renaissance @EmilyVanCamp @Gabriel_Mann @Nick_Wechsler @karterhol @lcotskeet," Patrick tweeted.
One question puzzling fans is just how the show's characters will deal with the sudden appearance of David Clarke, who supposedly dies in Season 1. Clarke maintains a presence throughout the series in flashback scenes with a much younger Emily/Amanda.
"The character of Emily is so central to the show and after three years of exploring her through that lens of revenge, the staff was like what new element in can come into her life that will shake her up completely and allow us to force Emily to find out who Amanda is and we realized it's her father," 'Revenge' executive producer Aaron Harberts shared last Tuesday with E! Online.
"Bringing David back, he's the one character out there who could really push a lot of her buttons," Harberts continued. "For us, we're always looking to do new dynamics and find something new."
In the Season 3 finale, David mysteriously appears from beyond the grave to stab Conrad Grayson. It is not certain whether Conrad survives the stabbing.
'Revenge' Season 4 will air on ABC on Sept. 28 at 10 pm EST.
