Jill Dillard-formerly Duggar-is loving married life.
The "19 Kids and Counting" starlet recently wed Derick Dillard in a ceremony attended by over 1,000 guests. After returning from a week-long honeymoon with her new husband, Jill remains starry-eyed.
"I have the most amazing guy," she told People Magazine. "Everything about being married is awesome."
The 23 year old daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar says her honeymoon in Kil Devil Hills, NC was "wonderful."
"Every morning, we would wake up and go out and sit on the deck and listen to the waves," she says. "It was beautiful. It was very private without a lot of people there yet for the season. It was so relaxing...it was wonderful."
Now, Jill is focused on homemaking--and getting used to significantly fewer people in the house.
"I love to cook and have been able to do a lot of cooking," she told People. "Cooking for two people is a learning experience in and of itself."
The couple also makes every effort to spend time together.
"Our house is really close to Derick's work," Jill said. "I have been able to drop him off in the morning and meet him for lunch so we can spend more time together. It has really been a lot of fun."
The couple's relationship was received a great deal of media attention, as it was documented throughout TLC's latest season of "19 Kids and Counting." Viewers expressed both admiration and astonishment at the couple's conservative dating methods, including no hold handing, side hugs, and chaperones on every date.
"We're just really trying to keep our relationship focused not on the physical but really just more on communication and continuing to learn more about each other," Jill told the Associated Press at the time.
"We're saving our first kiss and things beyond that for our wedding."
The Duggar parents, who apply Christian values such as modesty and purity when raising their children, explained that during their own courtship they didn't wait to kiss until their married, and wish they had.
"Michelle and I are really grateful that [Derick and Jill] chose to set high standards, "Jim Bob told ABC.
"We have told our kids in courtship to set their own rules, and then bring them to mom and dad to kind of let us oversee that, and then also hold you accountable in those," he continued, noting that the elder children are conscientious in setting an example for their younger siblings.
"[They have] decided to have high standards in order to keep themselves pure and also set an example for their younger siblings," he said.
In the meantime, the couple is not shy in expressing their love for one another.
"My sweet husband grilling our dinner yesterday," she wrote under a photo of Derick posted to her Instagram account with the hashtag #imsoinlove.
