Three new characters from Disney's 'Frozen' are coming to 'Once Upon a Time' Season Four.
On July 3, TVLine confirmed that Queen Elsa will be played by Georgina Haig, who is better known for her role as Etta Bishop from 'Fringe'.
Just two days before, ABC's official site reported that Elizabeth Lail will play Anna, Queen Elsa's optimistic and adventurous younger sister. In the Disney film, Anna embarks on a quest to find Elsa after the latter accidentally turns Arrendelle to ice. Along the way, Elsa finds assistance in Kristoff, a young ice-cutter whose only company is a reindeer.
Scott Michael Foster, noted for his role in 'Greek', will play Kristoff in the ABC drama. Besides starring in 'Greek', Foster has appeared in Californication, The River, Chasing Life, and Halt and Catch Fire.
The appearance of Elsa in the upcoming season of 'Once Upon a Time' was hinted at in the Season Three finale. In the final scene of the finale, a turned-over urn oozes blue liquid. From the liquid, a character magically appears leaving behind a path of ice wherever she walks.
ABC recently confirmed the mystery character is Elsa from the Disney film in a promotional image that contained the hashtag "#Frozen is coming to #OnceUponATime", which was posted on its site.
'Once Upon a Time' will be returning to the same Sunday 8 pm EST timeslot this coming fall, though the actual Season Four premiere date remains a mystery.
