Honduras vs. Switzerland World Cup 2014 will begin at 1 p.m. PT on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. The Group E match will take place at Arena Amaz ônia, Manaus, Brail. So far none of the Group E teams have yet to win any games, but Switzerland is poised to continue to next round while Honduras will go home after today's game.
Switzerland lost to France last week. Center-back Steve von Bergen who broke a cheekbone against Les Tricolores will be out of the rest of the competition.
Honduras is still in the game, but they can only proceed to second round if Ecuador lost to France and Hondurans beat Switzerland with a number of goals. Honduras will be counting on its strikers Carlo Costly and Jerry Bengtson as the duo made plays that led to the team's first World Cup goal since 1982.
The Swiss have three points and are tied with Ecuador for second place in their group.
"Hope is the last thing you lose, as they say. But we know it'll be a very tough match against the Swiss because we know their game well," Costly said, according to FIFA.com.
These two teams last met exactly four years ago in the group stage in South Africa. It was a 0-0 draw.
