Arrow Season Three's cast lineup may include four new cast members, according to recent spoilers that are making the rounds amongst TV gossip circles.

The latest cast leak first broke out over at TV Line, which got a hold of insider information that reportedly had the names of the newly-minted characters.

Fans of the DC comics-inspired series will be pleased to know that the first character mentioned in the report was 'Daniel', the supposed alter-ego of 'Golden Age' comic hero Blue Beetle. The same report suggests that the Blue Beetle may be competing with protagonist Oliver Queen for the affections of Felicity.

Season Two's finale briefly teased at an Oliver and Felicity romance, even though this has yet to be confirmed. In the original comic book universe, Blue Beetle's actual name is Dan Garrett. So, there is a chance that the Blue Beetle rumor is true.

Oliver, who moonlights as DC superhero 'Green Arrow', will be facing a new bad guy named 'Seth', who is a criminal mastermind and gifted chemist. 'Seth' favors using drugs to overpower enemies, and it is implied that he will be a serious threat to Oliver's beloved Starling City.

Green Arrow's greatest nemesis, Malcolm Merlyn, is rumored to be the archvillain in Season Three. Also known as the Dark Archer, Merlyn destroys part of Starling City with an earthquake machine in the first season. At the end of an epic battle with Oliver, Malcolm fakes his death and goes into hiding. The Dark Archer made many brief appearances in Season Two, but was not the main antagonist.

Hong Kong Story Arc Explained

Naturally, all great comic book heroes have their origins story. Happily for fans, the show will continue featuring flashback sequences that explain how Oliver became the Green Arrow. Earlier this month, Oliver-star Stephen Amell told fans that Season's Three flashbacks will take place in Hong Kong.

In the flashback scene at the end of the Season Two finale, Oliver wakes up in a Hong Kong and finds himself under the 'care' of the A.R.G.U.S. spy agency. TV Line reports that Oliver will then receive training under Toshi, a highly-trained government operative and devoted family man. Toshi's wife Akiko is implied as being Oliver's caretaker - though details of their relationship have not been revealed.

Season Three of the 'Arrow' is scheduled for a premier date in Fall 2014 on the CW network.
