FIFA World Cup 2014 opening ceremony will start live streaming at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 12, 2014. This year's World Cup is held in Brazil at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo. With months of preparation for a 25-minute routine, the opening ceremony will be a performance that you will not want to miss. Daphne Cornez, the artist director, said that it is "a tribute to Brazil and its treasures: nature, people, football." She described how the performers continued with their practices even though they may be tired, all the while maintaining a smile on their face: "It's amazing."
Besides the ensemble show, World Cup 2014 Opening Ceremony will feature music performances by some of the world's biggest stars: Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Brazilian artist Claudia Leitte. The World Cup 2014 consists of 64 games that will be played among 32 teams from Jun 12 to July 13, 2014. In comparison to Olympics and Super Bowl, the FIFA World Cup is considered the world's biggest sporting event, held once every four years. Several television stations including ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC, Univision will be streaming the matches throughout the next 30 days through live television feed, online live streams and radio.
ESPN will broadcast 43 matches while ABC will provide live feeds for the 10 weekend games, including the final. Every match will stream live online at ESPN3.com. The games will be recorded and made available online for those who missed the game.
