Pretty Little Liars Season 5 will premiere tonight June 10 at 8 p.m. ET, the first episode titled 'EscApe from New York' and will air on ABC Family.
ABC Family's 'Pretty Little Liars' has had many leaks over the past week revealing new details not just for the first episode, but also for the second episode of the upcoming fifth season of the series.
Official photos from Episode 2 of Season 5 'Whirly Girlie', which airs June 17, began emerging on the web on Tuesday. 'Little Liars' leader Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) is coming back from the dead this season, and the other girls as well as the town will need to get used to see her alive again. The official synopsis for episode two reads:
"With the events of New York behind them and back in Rosewood, the Liars are unsettled to still be living under a cloud of secrets. Aria is haunted by the recent past events, while Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to wrap their head around the new normal."
These details were revealed mere weeks after first episode photos were being leaked over the internet via photos from ABC Family earlier this month. The photos show Ezra (Ian Harding) recovering in a hospital after being shot by the mysterious cloaked figure, whom is implied to be 'A'.
That would mean Ezra is going to be alive for Season Five, but how long? What is certain is that 'A' will most definitely come back to finish the job. The official synopsis of Season 5, Episode 1 originally post on PrettyLittleLiars.com, reveals the following:
"Moments after where the season four finale left off, Aria and the Liars are reeling from Ezra's shooting at the hands of "A." The five girls quickly realize that as the one person who truly knows A's identity, Ezra is in grave danger. While Aria stands watch over Ezra at the hospital, Alison and the PLLs lay a trap to finally flush out "A" but are shocked by who is ensnared.
Meanwhile, Holbrook steps up his efforts to find the girls and puts the Hastings family on alert. And as news of Alison's resurrection spreads, Mona is not pleased."
