CBS's 'The Big Bang Theory' Season 7 Finale ends in a cliffhanger, with Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) leaving town by train. This begs the question if this truly is the end for quirky, but lovable Sheldon -- whose comedic moments range from "bazinga" to his three-person chess obsession.
It is inconceivable that producers are ever going to pull Jim Parson from the cast, whose performance as Sheldon garnered him the Emmy Award. Getting rid of Sheldon may actually be suicidal for the show. In fact, a recent "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine suggests that Sheldon is coming back for Season 8. "Riddle me this," TV journalist Michael Ausiello had wrote. "What if Jim Parsons never actually got on a train?"
At this moment, the show has the highest ratings amongst all major TV comedies to date. So, it comes as no surprise that the CBS network is renewing not just one, but three more seasons for 'The Big Bang Theory'. That will mean fans will be looking forward to Seasons 8, 9, and 10 in the near foreseeable future. Hopefully, we will be seeing more of Sheldon as well.
Season 8 of 'The Big Bang Theory' will premiere on the CBS network this fall, but will be moved to a different day due to CBS's recent commitment to Thursday Night Football. Also, CBS has yet to confirm an exact premiere date for 'The Big Bang Theory.'
