The Canadiens swept the Lightnings 4-1 in the first round playoffs, winning Game 4 at their home ice Bell Centre. It is their 31st time in their history to lead 3-0 in the playoff series. Going into second round playoffs, the Candiens are concerned about their power plays, which were 2-for-13 against the Lightning.
Montreal's penalty kill was 5-for-7 against the lightning compared with Bruins' 18-for-20 against the Detroit Red Wings in a five-game win.
"We worked on the power play [Monday] and we'll work on it more," coach Michel Therrien said, according to NHL.com. "We want to create momentum on the power play and we're working that in mind."
The Bruins lost three of four games against the Canadiens in the regular season, but they have just defeated the Red Wings that also beat them three times in four tries.
"I think it's just about who's going to do their homework a little bit better," said center David Krejci, according to NHL.com. "And then we've just go to trust the system and go out there and do the job. I think we have a pretty good team here, and if we'll do our homework right, then we should be able to get some results."
Canadiens forwards Brendan Gallagher and Rene Bourgue had three goals each in the series against the Lightenings.
Bruins' Bergeron had five points and Lucic had three goals against the Red Wings. Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask Stopped 146 of 152 shots (.961 save percentage).
