The Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Warriors 118-97 on Sunday, which evened their playoff series at 2-2. The next day, Clippers coach Doc Rivers canceled the practice.

"I just felt like they needed to breathe," said Rivers, who passed on an opportunity to speak with team owner Donald Sterling about the alleged racist comments made in a recorded conversation.

Sterling was purported to have told a woman not to bring black people to his games or associate with them.

Despite the canceled practice, the entire Clippers team was at the club's practice facility.

"I'll go down and say hi to them and talk to them, make sure they're in the right place. Right now, it's more than basketball. This is a non-basketball decision that I thought I had to make and I thought it was right decision. If you get your life better, then you can probably do your work better. They need to do that," he said, according to AP.

With just a few hours away from game 5, fans are now deciding whether they should show up.

Warriors' coach Mark Jackson said his approach would be to not show up, which will make the loudest noise of it not being tolerated.

"It's unfortunate, and we cannot allow someone with these feelings to profit," he said, the AP reported.

However, Rivers acknowledged that Jackson was speaking from his heart, but he differed in whether the fans should show up for the game tonight.

"I don't share that. I hope it's packed and people are cheering for us, the players. And they were cheering for the players before this happened. But if they feel differently, who can say they're wrong? And I'm not the one that's going to say that, I can tell you that."

Rivers said he and his team will address the crowd only it they feel it's something that will help the fans, but if not they won't do it.

"The tickets have already been sold. The fans, they're in dilemma as well," he said, the AP reported. "We want them to cheer for their players and their team. Because it's still their players and their team, and it will be their players and their team. I think from what I get from the fans I've heard from, that's how they feel, like, 'This is my team, these are my players I'm cheering for, and that's not going to change.' I hope that continues."

Rivers also said some of the Clippers' players felt that they didn't sign up for this and they are forced to stand in the middle of it, but he will do what he can to encourage his players.

In Game 3, Blake Griffin had 32 points, Jordan got 22 rebounds, and Chris Paul added 15 points and 10 assists in a 98-96 win Thursday.

In Game 2, Warriors' Stephen Curry had only 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting, but he had 15 assists. Meanwhile, Thompson had a team-high 26 points after shooting 2 of 4.

In Game 1, Clippers forward Griffin scored 35 points from 13 of 17 shots from the floor, made 9 of 10 free throws and got six rebounds. Moreover, the team forced 26 turnovers and shut down all-star shooting Stephen Curry.
