The NCAA Men's Basketball March Madness Title Game will take place today, April 7 at 9:10p.m. ET on CBS. Eighth-seeded Kentucky (29-10) plays seventh-seeded UConn (31-8) in the first final game since 1966 with two teams that weren't in the tournament the year before.

While Florida was the top overall seed in the tournament, Connecticut reached the Final Four after being seeded seventh in the 16-team East Region, where the Huskies had upset wins over No. 2 Villanova, No. 3 Iowa State and No. 4 Michigan State.

Florida held a 12-point lead over Connecticut midway through the first half on Saturday's seminfinals, but the Huskies roared back, taking a slight lead at the half and expanding the bulge early in the second half.

Shabazz Napier helped seal the game with about 2 minutes to play when he made two free throws for a 59-47 lead. That margin was the deficit the Huskies (31-8) faced in the opening minutes after a cold shooting start.

Kentucky and its five freshmen starters rallied to beat Wisconsin 74-73 in the Final Four as Aaron Harrison hit a winning three-pointer with just seconds left on the clock.

Kentucky coach John Calipari praised his freshman-laden team for coming back from a 40-36 halftime deficit to go on a 15-0 run. "When we're down ... they grow hair on their necks," he said. Kentucky will feature the first all-freshman starting lineup in the national championship game since the 1992 Michigan team nicknamed "The Fab Five."

The Wildcats were seeded eighth in their 16-team region and tied the record for the lowest seed to reach the championship game at the NCAA tournament. Connecticut became the first seventh seed in the past 36 years to make the title game.
