Sketches have emerged detailing the unimaginable conditions of prison camps in North Korea.
These torture concepts seem more fit to be listed amongst the cruelties of the first and second World Wars, but they're not. They're happening today, this very moment under the rule of Kim Jong-un, the son of the late Ko Young-hee, the famous opera singer, and Kim Jong-il.
"[Crimes] against humanity have been committed in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea pursuant to policies established at the highest level of the state," said the United Nations' high commissioner of the human rights stated in the report. "These crimes against humanity are ongoing because the policies, institutions and patterns of impunity that lie at their root remain in place."

The above picture illustrates something known as "pigeon torture" wherein the jailer binds the prisoner(s) as seen in the image until he is satisfied.
Above here are displayed various forms of torture. The first shows a prisoner with arms straight out in the air, yet weighed down by large bricks. The second, has a prisoner on one-leg in the airplane position. The third places in the prisoner in the position as if s/he were riding a motorcycle. Kwang-il goes on to speak about how it's impossible for anyone to stand in these positions for a long period of time and that "you are bound to fall forward." He also shared that everyone in the detention centre is put through this type of torture.
The United Nations report states: "[D]ecisions, actions, and omissions by the State and its leadership caused the death of at least hundreds of thousands of people and inflicted permanent physical and psychological injuries on those who survived.
Cattle and livestock wagons are used to transport the prisoners.
"The State has used food as a means of control over the population. ... The State has also used deliberate starvation as a means of control and punishment in detention facilities. This has resulted in the deaths of many political and ordinary prisoners."
Because of this starvation, the prisoners often resort to eating rats and snakes as depicted above.
TheBlaze was told that many corpses don't have eyes because the rats eat them before feasting on the flesh of the bodies themselves.
The U.N. report states that "Kim was foreced to crawl on his hands and knees into a cell with 40 other prisoners. Guards said: 'When you get to this prison you are not human, you are just like animals, and as soon as you get to this prison, you have to crawl just like animals."
According to Reuters, the U.N. investigators were so disturbed by their discoveries in the documentation of North Korean's citizens that they compared it to the Nazi treatment infamous from World War II.
