Happy Thanksgiving!
The annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade broadcast begins at 8:30 a.m and ends at approximately 12 noon. You can watch it on 6abc, or watch live stream online.
The 1.4-mile parade route steps off from the intersection of 20th Street and JFK Boulevard, turns left onto 16th Street and then left onto Ben Franklin Parkway. The entire parade route is free and open to the public, except for a limited number of grandstand seats in the telecast area that are for sponsors and VIPs only.
The highlight of the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade are the festive floats and massive balloons. Some giant balloons include: My Little Pony, "Plex" from Yo Gabba Gabba, Strawberry Shortcake, Clifford the Big Red Dog and beloved Dr. Suess characters the Cat in the Hat, Horton, the Lorax and the Grinch.
