Chiefs vs. Broncos Week 11 Preview
The Broncos currently rank No. 1 in offensive points per game (41.2), and the Chiefs rank No. 1 in points per game allowed (12.3) and sacks (36).
Broncos QB Peyton Manning, a four-time NFL NVP, has 32 touchdown passes in nine games of this season, tying the NFL record.
While the Chiefs have allowed just nine touchdowns this season, which ranks them at third best defense in NFL, will they be able to slow down Manning from scoring?
Chiefs defense consist of Tamba Hali, Justin Houston in the front, and defensive backs Eric Berry, Brandon Flowers and Sean Smith. These are young players who have stopped cold the offenses of the majority of teams in the NFL this season.
The AFC rivals and the top two teams in the entire NFL will battle Sunday night for the AFC West championship.
Chiefs' starting quarterback Alex Smith has guided his team to a 9-0 start, but he has been on a winning streak of 28-5-1 since 2011. He will definitely be the center of attention this Sunday at probably most of the biggest games for 2013.
ESPN's Adam Scheffer points out on Twitter, "Chiefs-Broncos combined win pict of .944 (17-1) is highest for a game this late in a season since 1969, when 11-0 Rams played 10-1 Vikings."
While the weather at Colorado is predicted to be around 38 degrees, the intensity of the match is expected to blow off the thermostat.
