The Sony Play Station 4 will launch on November 15 in the U.S., a month ahead of the Christmas season. The PS4 costs $399 USD, the company has sold over 125,000 pre-orders since August 24, giving it a total of 725,000 in total for the U.S., reports Forbes.
Due to the great responses, currently all pre-orders are sold out on Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop. But there is good news, GameStop will hold special PlayStation 4 pre-launch events on Sunday, November 10 at all U.S. stores, where customers can trade in any used hardware, software or other consumer electronics for extra credit toward the PlayStation 4, games and accessories. The trade in credit will result in the 90% bonus when applied to the PS4 console pre-order.
During the PS4 pre-launch events, shoppers will also be able to purchase available PS4 games and accessories. Select GameStop stores will also have PS4 units available for customers to play.
Boasting 8GB of unified system memory, PS4 houses a "highly enhanced" PC GPU containing a unified array of 18 compute units, which collectively generate 1.84 Teraflops of processing power that can freely be applied to graphics, simulation tasks, or some mixture of the two.
