Apple October keynote event will kick off October 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. PST, it takes place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in downtown San Francisco.The invitations for the media event say "We still have a lot to cover," where the company is expected to introduce its next-generation iPad and iPad mini models, as well as updated Macs and a price and release date for OS X Mavericks.
It is confirmed that Apple will provide live stream for the event. You can view the event on second and third-generation Apple TV devices running software version 5.0.2 or later. This can be done by clicking on the "Apple Events" channel on the device's main menu.
Mac and MacBook computers running at least OS X version 10.6, and iPhone and iPad devices on iOS 4.2 or later can also view the livestream using the Safari Web browser. Meanwhile, several tech websites will be present at the Apple Event today and provide live blog,including CNET, The Verge, and TechCrunch.
Apple is expected to reveal its new iPads during the special event today. The iPad 5 is reportedly thinner and lighter in design like that of iPad mini's, and it has an improved camera. Some rumors of leaked reports said that the new iPads will get Apple's new TouchID fingerprint recognition function that debuted on the iPhone 5s in September.
While the focal point is obviously on the new iPads, Apple is most likely going to further introduce Mac Pro and OS X Mavericks. It has already unveiled the Mac Pro during June's World Wide Developer Conference, but the company hasn't announced a shipping date and few questions remaining about internal specs. OS X 10.9 Mavericks is anticipated to launch with countless new features while the MacBook Pros will likely release with improved battery life and integrated graphics.
