The final round of the BMW Championship will tees off on Sunday at Conway Farms in Lake Forest, Chicago. This is the third of four FedEx Cup playoff events that concludes with next week's Tour Championship in Atlanta. The top 30 players will advance to next week's tournament at East Lake for a chance to win a $10 million bonus.
After shooting a 59 in round three Jim Furyk shot 10 shots higher on Saturday and now holds a one-shot lead heading into the final round.
Furyk was at 13-under 200 and will be paired in the final group with longtime friend Stricker, who holed out for eagle from the 15th fairway and had a 64.
Furyk has failed to win the last five times he led or shared the lead after three rounds, including last month's PGA Championship and last year's U.S. Open.
"No one has to remind me," 16-time PGA Tour winner Furyk said. "There's always pressure to win and I'm going to put pressure on myself because I expect myself to play well."
Brandt Snedeker (71) was third at 11 under.
Tiger Woods still objected to the two-shot penalty he was given after his second round for his ball moving ever so slightly as he tried to remove a small stick next to it. Woods ran off six birdies in seven holes and at one point got within two shots of the lead until his momentum was stalled with a par on the par-5 14th and a bogey on the 15th hole after driving his first shot into the water. He still had a 66 and was only four shots behind.
Golf Channel and NBC will have the TV coverage for the final round of BMW Championship. The broadcast will begin on Golf Channel at 12:00 p.m. ET and continue until 1:30 p.m. before it switches to NBC from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Golf Channel will also provide a simulcast online stream through their LiveExtra steam. You can check out the tee times and leaderboard on the PGA tour website.
