New England Coach Bill Belichick will likely have no choice but to start Stevan Ridley at running back again due to Shane Vereen's injury. Ridley had nine carries for 46 yards during the first half of New England's opener last week against Buffalo, but after his fumble was returned for a Bills touchdown in the second quarter, he didn't see the field the rest of the afternoon.
Patriots' Tom Brady finished having completed 29-of-52 passes for 288 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
The New York Jets hosted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday, Rookie Quarterback Geno Smith had an excellent debut in week 1, throwing for 256 yards and a touchdown, whilst rushing for 47 more.
