Christian pro-surfer and shark-attack survivor Bethany Hamilton is enjoying her first week together with her new husband Adam Dirks after saying "I do" to each other Sunday in Hawaii. Fans from around the world gave congratulatory remarks to the newly wed.
“Life together from here on with my husband Adam; this has been the most beautiful and blessed week of our life so far! Psalms 63:3,” wrote Hamilton on her Facebook page just four days after her wedding.
Psalms 63:3 reads, "Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you."

The wedding ceremony was held at a secluded 130-acre estate on Kauai’s north shore, near the town where Hamilton grew up, and 300 friends and family members participated barefoot for the entire ceremony, according to People.
“Today was the most beautiful, wonderful best day of my life! God is more than good(: Excited to live life with my husband Adam Dirks!” she wrote shortly after her wedding.

Hamilton, whose life story inspired the film “Soul Surfer,” wore a Lazaro-designed gown, baring her shark-attack scar, which she has come to accept as part of her testimony of perseverance and faith. Her official wedding photo can be seen on People's website.
Fans commented on her looking ‘adorable,’ ‘beautiful,’ ‘cute’ on her Facebook posts.
“I look forward to being the best wife that I can be for Adam and to starting our new adventure together,” Hamilton told People this week after the wedding. “I love surfing, but getting married doesn’t even compare. This was definitely the best night of my life.”
The 23-year-old athlete, who was born in Hawaii, won an ESPY Award in 2004 and wrote the autobiography called “Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board” that was turned into a movie in 2011. After the shark attack, it took her just a month to get back out on the waves on the board.
The couple met on the beach in spring 2012 and Dirks, 25, proposed on April 13th, marking their engagement date. Hamilton has said earlier this year that since they've met, Dirks has just swept her off her feet.
“I just had to trust in God and know that He had someone special for me.”
Fans poured congratulatory comments on Hamilton’s Facebook and Twitter page, reminding her of the importance of God in marriage as well as thanking her for being an inspiration to them and their loved ones.
