. . . Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39
Families come in all shapes and sizes! Your "family" is the people you live with. Maybe you're related to all of them and maybe not.
When you receive Jesus Christ, you're part of another family–God's family (John 1:12). Other Christians are your brothers and sisters in Christ. You need your Christian family. You can pray for each other and share what you have, such as money or food. Together, you can worship and learn more about God. Members of God's family like to get together. They pray, sing songs that praise God, study the Bible and help each other with their problems.
Where do Christians get together to have fellowship? Sometimes they meet in each other's homes or in churches. Ask God to help you find other Christians that you can meet with often. Maybe there is a church in your neighborhood that teaches about the Lord Jesus. You could go there to have fellowship with other Christians.
The Bible says if we walk in fellowship with God, "we have fellowship with one another" (1 John 1:7). Being in fellowship with God is the best way to be in fellowship with your brothers and sisters in God's family.
