California, U.S - A new Christian movie, “The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry,” produced by the Resurrection Pictures, a Christian film ministry, in partnership with Five & Two Pictures, would be formerly released in several theaters across America on September 18, 2009.
Speaking on the great potentials of the new movie, the President of Resurrection Pictures Inc. Dr. William Harrity, said the movie provides an excellent opportunity for people to bring their unsaved friends to watch an entertaining film that speaker/author Josh McDowell says is "loaded with excellent truths from God's Word."
He stated: “When we initially screened this movie, we were very moved! The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry will be a memorable and inspiring film for ages 6 to 80 with an excellent message for the Lord. I was in tears for much of the movie and my six year old daughter was mesmerized as she watched the story of a 75 year old man, Jonathan Sperry (played by Gavin MacLeod) living in 1970, who mentors three 12 year old boys.”
He noted that the message in the film would touch the heart of every person that sees the movie adding that his organization is confident that the movie would be well received by audiences and would also get strong word-of-mouth support.
According to Dr. Harrity, sponsoring the film will cost $2000 per theater and that this would help to cover the costs of the film or digital print, posters, shipping of the print and some marketing. “We expect to receive 45% of the box office ticket sales from each theater. The first $2000 received will go right back to the sponsor and then the sponsor will receive 15% of any additional income received from the sponsored theater that we will donate to the ministry of your choice.”
“Have your Church or Ministry sponsor this movie in your local area. We currently have about 100 groups on board and our goal is to open this movie in over 500 theaters nationwide. Become an Agent. We are also looking for individuals who will help us find additional sponsors,” Dr. Harrity also said.
He further stated that the Director/Producer, Rich Christiano along with his team at Five & Two Pictures have a very unique marketing plan working with churches and groups across the nation to have them sponsor the film locally in their theaters and then, share in the revenue.
