On the night of February 20, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association core characters Reverend Henry Holley and Dr. Tom Philips visited the Tianjin Protestant Church Shan West Rd. Chapel, according to Chinese Protestant Church’s website.

The two visitors inquired about the church founding history, present development progress and the situation of ministering and management of Shan West Road Chapel. They exclaimed that the church has a powerful team of volunteers and wished that the future glory of the church can exceed the past glory. Holley and Philips have both served in BGEA for the last few decade and they’ve took on key roles for the ministry.

When BGEA was founded in 1966, Holley joined the Reverend Billy Graham and served as special assistant him on projects and missions. He has organized 10s of crusade worldwide, many attended literally by millions. The Hong Kong crusade in 1990, for example, extended its message of hope and faith to over 100 million people with the gospel, an effort directed by Holley. In 1992, he was in charge of Graham’s trip to North Korea, served as the director for Asia affairs, taking on a key role for the association in Hong Kong and China. He has recently lent his talent to Reverend Franklin Graham.

Philips has organized numerous evangelistic crusades held in United States and has abundant experiences on youth ministries, evangelization, and discipleship trainings.
