As a member of Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship (FGBMF), Walter Wang, the son of the recently deceased Wang Yung-Ching, testified of God’s healing to his late-term nasopharyngeal carcinoma, which corrected his faith, career, family relations, and experiences in life at his father’s farewell ceremony.
Mr. Wang shared that when he turned 40 year old, he borrowed money from the bank to buy the United States Formosa Plastic Corporation, and he was ready to fully display his business prowess; however, ten days after he signed the contract he has been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma at the fourth stage. The doctor estimated that he has only one more year to live.
He said that at that time he questioned God for treating him like this and asked what is it that he did wrong to deserve that. He was in great agony and sorry.
Since he was young, Mr. Wang’s father has trained him to be strong so he did not once shed a drop of tears, but he broke down in tears that time. In face of the crossroad in life, he and his wife prayed to God and asked God to give them direction.
After much prayers and deep considerations, Mr. Wang went to Hong Kong to receive medical treatments. In Hong Kong, he does not have any relatives or friends and his initial stay there wasn’t smooth either, but he had faith that God will open a way for him. In despair, he again prayed to God. As a result, he found the most authoritative doctor and immediately began the chemotherapy that same day.
A distant friend of his visited him often and read the Bible and prayed together. His friend said that if Mr. Wang wants to be healed completely, then he must lay down his hatred and forgive his enemies. Mr. Wang took a pen and paper and wrote down a list of names of people who he could not forgive and then prayed for each one of them, asking God to give him the heart of love to forgive and bless.
While praying for these people, Mr. Wang started, suddenly, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and started speaking in tongues. He laughed strongly like a child for ten consecutive minutes and felt that the hatred inside of him has been washed away by the Lord.
Soon after, he recovered very quickly. The doctor even asked him if there is any family secret, because it can help other patients. Mr. Wang just told him that he didn’t use any special medicine, herbal medications, or vitamins, but he only held on to God and prayed to Him every day.
During the time that he was in the hospital, his company JM Eagles’ net profit doubled and he was able to pay off at least half of the bank loan. He attributed to God managing his company for him during the five months that he was away. He jokingly said that this doesn’t mean that because of his absence the company became more productive, but he meant that what’s impossible to men is possible to God.
Mr. Wang said honestly that through the experience of having cancer, he truly met God in his life. Today, he is acting as the CEO of the company, but the chairman position has been empty. He said that the reason is because he entrusted everything of the company to God, letting God be the chairman. He hopes to use his limited resource to contribute to the society, sharing his testimonies, spread the gospel, and allowing more people to reap the benefit of salvation.
