WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush says America is "a nation of prayer."
At the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, the president said Americans pray by the millions each day - for themselves, their families and their neighbors.
He said Americans believe God "pours his grace on those who seek him in prayer."
The annual event at a Washington hotel brought together officials, lawmakers and world leaders.
Bush said he's inspired by the many Americans who encourage him on ropelines - or hold up placards reading, "Mr. President, we're praying for you."
He also said he's grateful for the prayers Americans say for the nation's servicemen and women.
