Chinese Christian leaders in the West Coast are appealing to Christians, as well as the general public, to voice their stance against the homosexual marriage.
March 14, San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer ruled against California's ban on gay "marriage", saying there is "no rational purpose" to keeping marriage between a man and a woman only. He also wrote in his 27-page decision that the state's ban on same-sex "marriage" violates "the basic human right to marry the person of one's choice."
As the fierce debate around the homosexual marriage going on, Rev. Thomas Wong, who is the president of Great Commission Center Internatonal and at the same time the chairman of Christian Social Endeavor Foundation, calls on all the believers in every states in the United States to "voice for the Lord".
"Today, these 'liberal' judges are leading the American society to the ruin," he said.
Now the concerned groups are appealing to the state Supreme Court, and the final decision is expected by next year. Randy Thomasson of "Campaign for Children and Family", a pro-family organization in California, urge "every coworker, brother and sister from Chinese churches" to take the following send letters or emails to the governor of California, Arnold Schwazenegger, the legislators of California, the main newspapers, TV stations and broadcasting stations, and the judges of the state court or city court.
Randy Thomasson said, this is the "duty of the children of God".
Rev. Wong reviewed the pro-family campaigns held by the Chinese-American churches in the previous year and the victory of the president election, and said, "God listened to our prayers, and confirmed His will." He encouraged every believer to take action as soon as they can, carry out "our duty as the children of God."
