For the Chinese New Year, Hong Kong World Vision invites citizens to donate "red envelopes" for disabled children and orphans in China, so that they will be able to receive enough money for education, medical care or fosterage.
"Same as ordinary children, disabled children have the right to be fostered, too. However, due to poverty, the lack of social resource, and their deformity, they are always being ignored," Hong Kong World Vision said in the appeal on their website.
Further more, Hong Kong World Vision urged the public to join their project titled "World Vision China Partner," which supports the relief programs held by the World Vision in China. With a sustaining monthly offering of $100 hkd, children with special needs from Guangxi, Jilin, Ningxia, Gansu and other poor provinces of China will receive long-term help in their childhood, and their whole community will also be provided special funds to improve the local social systems.
