Mothers from across the nation joined Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program to build houses for families in need during the Mother’s Day week and finished building 13 houses.
Habitat for Humanity International's Women Build department promotes the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat houses. Women Build program offers an opportunity for women to learn construction and to put faith into practice by building houses for those who are in need of affordable homes.
More than 350 Habitat houses have been built in the U.S. by women. With growing number of woman participants, the program will continue throughout the year.
Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation is currently supporting Habitat’s Women Build program to meet their goal of building 100 houses this year.
