USA -- Bills to preserve religious liberties and the Ten Commandments were introduced to the house and senate, last week. American Missionary Fellowship, one of the many Christian organizations supporting the measure, believes the legislation is the fuel needed to thrust the United States back towards a commitment to religious freedom.
"I hate to say it this way, but our religious freedom in America is eroding through the judicial system and just to safeguard our ability to freely share with people the Gospel of Jesus Christ is at stake,” said AMF’s Ed Henderson. “Support of these bills will secure the religious freedom that our founding fathers intended for us to have."
AMF, an organization centered on “Learning Communities,” feels the legislation is needed to protect holding Bible studies in public.
"We’ve got our template in place and we're starting to recruit missionaries,” Henderson said about their Bible Study programs.
"Bible study. That's what people need. Everybody needs Bible study. That's what changes lives."
