NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A statue of Christian evangelist Billy Graham will be unveiled today in Nashville, Tenn.
The likeness shows Graham with outstretched arms, holding a Bible in one hand and standing in front of a 17-foot-tall cross.
The 88-year-old evangelist is living in retirement in Montreat, N.C., and won't be at the ceremony. His grandson Will Graham, Mayor Bill Purcell and Southern Baptist Convention President Frank Page are among those expected.
The statue will be placed permanently on downtown property owned by Lifeway Christian Resources - an arm of the S.B.C.
