Originally set to exhibit in New York and Los Angeles this September, the Chinese Church Bible Ministry Exhibition due to insufficient preparation time has delayed its exhibit.

Originally set to exhibit in New York and Los Angeles this September, the Chinese Church Bible Ministry Exhibition due to insufficient preparation time has delayed its exhibit until May 2006.

The Chinese Church Bible Ministry Exhibition was first held in August 2004 in Hong Kong. The exhibit includes the generations of Chinese Bible translations, devotional literatures, Christian teachings, arts, minority believers¡¦ worship and dance, and other Chinese Bible ministry related items. The exhibition has made impacts worldwide. This February, the China Christian Council President Chao Sheng Jie led a representative team to United States and visited Washington D.C., Charlotte, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Colorado, and Atlanta. They introduced to the local churches about the Bible ministry exhibition.

Our reporter interviewed the one of the representative team members this March: China Christian Council Operations Assistant Director Chen Mei Lin. At the time she revealed that among the people the team meets includes former president Jimmy Carter, Evangelist Billy Graham, Saddleback Church founder Rick Warren and other world renowned church and political leaders. Rev. Chao was also invited to President Bush¡¦s vigil.

Mrs. Chan said that their friends in United States, toward the Bible ministry exhibition, ¡§expressed tremendous passion and support, we received a lot of praises.¡¨ For example, Rev. Billy Graham said, ¡§I am very glad to receive the news that the upcoming Chinese Church Bible Ministry Exhibition will be held in U.S. The exhibition last year in Hong Kong received a great amount of success. I believe that they will receive the same success in United States. I put my support for the exhibition to be hosted in U.S. and am willing to pray for its success.¡¨

Mrs. Chan also commented that the U.S. Bible ministry exhibition was actually arranged upon the invitation by many of their friends in United States. She wished that through this exhibition, that it will ¡§assist the American churches and American people to better understand the China and its churches, and dissolve any misunderstandings.¡¨

Currently, the Bible ministry exhibition is set premier on May 19th at Atlanta, former president Jimmy Carter will be present at the opening ceremonies. Afterwards, the exhibition will open in New York on June 2nd and last until June 11th, then from June 17th through 26th the exhibition will be held in Lost Angeles.
