On July 9th, 2005, West Coast Chinese Christian Conference (WCCCC) will be hosting summer workshop at Chinese Baptist Church in Irvine, California. The workshop “Develop Healthy Brothers and Sisters’ Relationship in Fellowship” will be held in Cantonese from 10:30AM to 3:30PM.
WCCCC conferences take place once a year on December. The summer workshop will allow past attendants, alumni, and newcomers to gather and strengthen in fellowship and scripture studies during the mid-year.
Mr. Sam Ng, Associate Director of Asian-American Counseling Service Center, will host the workshop topics. The goal of the workshop is to equip today's Christians with the wisdom to construct healthy relationships in fellowship. Small group sessions held will include seminars on how to avoid conflicts and gossips and to strengthen one another through prayer and breaking of bread. Mr. Ng will also address on God’s plans for developing relationships.
About the speaker:
Sam Ng (吴子良) is currently the Associate Director of the Asian Pacific Family Center, one of the largest government funded counseling and mental health treatment clinic in the San Gabriel Valley of L.A. County, serving the Asian American population. He received a Master Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, and he is a licensed counselor (L.C.S.W.) since 1992. He is currently in charge of the clinic’s operation and administration, and directly supervising four counseling service programs that provide child abuse treatment, substance abuse prevention, gang prevention, and family life education services.
